Chryssy Luu leading dance classes on Wednesday afternoons!

Chryssy Luu
Chryssy Luu was born in Atlanta, Georgia, however much of her early childhood was spent in Monroe, Louisiana where she began her dance training at the age of three years old. Chryssy has trained in various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, modern, jazz, musical theater and aerial dance.
Some of the highlights of Chryssy’s dance career include winning Dancer of the Year in 2006 in the AMTC national talent competition in Charleston, South Carolina. She also gained recognition for her talents through the Marietta, Georgia chapter of the NAACP where she was afforded the opportunity to compete in dance in Orlando, Florida at the ACT-SO international competition where she placed in the top 20 dancers.
Chryssy continued her dance training throughout college where she was awarded three dance scholarships. She chose to attend New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida and completed her college degree at the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance in May 2012.
While attending the University of Georgia, Chryssy was a member and assistant teacher of the CORE Concert Dance Company, a company that specializes in aerial and contemporary dance. Currently, Chryssy is a member of Zoetic Dance Ensemble and teaches dance classes at Lotus Performing Arts School in Smyrna, Georgia.
